Visa
Any citizen who wishes to enter S. Tomé and Principe, must obtain their visa at the Consulate of Sao Tome and Principe, the place of departure. In countries where there is no consulate from S. Tomé and Principe you may require an Entry Clearance directly to SMF (Service Migration and Border), at the following e-mail: secretaria@smf.st (7 working days to get a response) .
Prices of Entry Visa in Sao Tome and Principe is now 490,000.00 STD (€ 20) per passenger; Children pay (-50% ) the value of adults.

Language
Portuguese is the official language. However, the English and other languages are used mainly in the tourist circuits.
Currency
Since 1977 S. Tomé and Príncipe Dobra has as its national currency, with acronyms abbreviation STD. STD notes are distributed in the following amounts: 5,000 / 10,000 / 20,000 / 50,000 / 100,000.
Although not widely used in the country, accepted credit cards in the main Hotel Units. There are no ATM machines in the country, but some of the hotels accept Visa and Master card.
